Where I Come From.

So I got to thinking, in order to make this an accurate documentation of my trip I need to show where I come from. So here it is, home sweet home.

In the summers there are beautiful back roads that lead to amazing hiking trails in forgotten mountains. Kind of mysterious when it comes down to it.

This is a picture from one of the trails. Very peaceful.

Sunsets are perhaps the most special gift nature gives us, a masterpiece made everyday for everyone to enjoy. My father took this picture.

This is current, after a foot of snow this is what around my house looks like and it is quite cold. BURR, but it gives a special twist to my little mountain town.

Some more pictures of around my house. Horses, HURRAY!

This is the road to get to my house.

and a tree.

Impatience& Daydreaming..

So there is something about waiting for something great to come, happen and change you. My blissful mind mecca is this imaginary moment when I walk off the plane where I am overwhelmed with the humidity in my lungs. I frightfully venture to find a taxi to take me to my destination, without knowing a word of Portuguese. Oh the exciting nightmare. I wonder if most people go through the similar emotional roller-coaster? Well I won't exactly know what it will be like to finally venture to this exotic country, but I'll soon find out! Till then.

Visas!- why?

So the essential thing about travel is to figure out if you really need a visa. Well, for Brazil you do. The sneakiness behind diplomacy and states' relations between each other is, in my opinion, seen directly in the prices for these suckers.

Brazil charges for a visa the same amount the US charges to apply for a visa abroad. Some say fair, I say it still hurts my pocket. Passive aggressive diplomacy, my favorite. I guess you can't blame them, the wealthy American (in their eyes) coming to use their resources why not charge them the same. Don't get me wrong, I definitely don't fit into that category of annoying Americans who think they don't have to pay for everything, although it would be nice. ha. not.

Well if you want to travel abroad, remember: visas!
